Is there going to be a second season of Bachelor in Paradise Canada?
On the Bachelor in Paradise Canada finale, the bartender Kevin Wendt (who we barely saw) announced that there was going to be a second season!
Keep reading to learn everything we know so far—and how to apply!
Kevin sure can read a teleprompter.#BachelorinParadiseCA

As Keven announced the new season, simultaneously City TV and the BIP Canada Twitter accounts told people to “APPLY NOW” via the link on their website.
We couldn’t find the link on the website, so we asked about it.
The tweets were deleted and ten minutes later there were new tweets encouraging people to check out the (new) link in bio.
Neither of the accounts responded to us, but we’re kind of used to that by now. The marketing for this show has been a source of endless entertainment and frustration for us—more on that later. Right now, we just want to give you all of the deets on Bachelor in Paradise Canada Season 2!
Who Can Apply for Bachelor in Paradise Canada Season 2?
We combed through the application for BIPCA and this is what we learned.
-
All cast members must be at least 19 years of age. There is no upper limit. (That they admit, but we know it’s 40. Unless this is the senior season they’ve been teasing us with all these years.)
-
It’s going to be filmed over 4 weeks in May-June, 2022 (This line caused us to raise an eyebrow: “Someone will be in touch by the end of May 2022 if your application has been selected for the next casting phase.” Talk about short notice!)
-
Cast members may also be required for three days of filming in November, likely for the finale.
-
People who apply through this process must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents.
-
But, there will be a mix of Bachelor alumni and Bachelor Nation cast members. (“Bachelor Nation cast members” refers to people from the fan community who haven’t been part of the show.)
-
Members of the LGBTQ2SIA+ community are encouraged to apply (For non-Canadians, 2S stands for two-spirit.)
-
They take COVID-19 seriously! Successful applicants will be required to provide proof of double vaccination in order to appear on the program. Should booster shots become available, proof of a booster will also be required.
-
The filming location is “top secret.” (We hope they keep up the Camp Paradise Theme!)
What Does the Application for Bachelor in Paradise Canada Ask?
The application looks pretty standard for Bachelor Nation. It asks for UNFILTERED photos (their emphasis, not ours) and asks questions like:
-
Are you ready to give or get a proposal of marriage? Why?
-
Why do you think you are the perfect candidate for Paradise?
-
Who from past seasons of Bachelor in Paradise/The Bachelor/Bachelorette (both Canada and US) would you like to see in Paradise? Why?
-
Tell us about your dating history – have you ever been in love? Why did it end and how do you feel about it today?
-
What’s the biggest personal challenge you’ve overcome?
-
Have you ever appeared on TV before? If so, tell us what show and when you appeared. *Feel free to share links of your appearance(s).
-
What will make you stand out in Paradise?
Anything else we should know about before applying for BIP Canada?
As usual, some of the more interesting stuff is in the fine print. Here are a few things that stuck out to us:
-
All Applicants must be single. To qualify as “single” the Applicant must not currently be involved in a committed intimate relationship, which includes: any marital relationship (whether or not the parties are separated or currently in the process of divorcing or annulling such marriage); any common law co-habitation relationship involving physical intimacy; or a monogamous dating relationship more than two (2) months in duration. (Emphasis ours—we’re tickled to finally have a legal definition for what it means to come on the show with a girlfriend/boyfriend.)
-
Bachelor(s) and Bachelorette(s) must agree to live, participate and cooperate with the other individuals and the Producer during the taping of the Program. (If you don’t cooperate, you’ll get run off the island like Chris Conran!)
-
Each Applicant agrees to release, discharge and hold harmless the Companies from any and all claims (including, without limitation, claims for slander, libel, defamation, violation of rights of privacy, publicity, personality, and/or civil rights, depiction in a false light, intentional or negligent infliction of emotional distress, copyright infringement, and/or any other tort and/or damages arising from or in any way relating to the submission of a Participant Application, participation in the selection process, participation in the Program, the use of the Personal Information or Recordings and/or the use of the Applicant’s name, voice, and/or likeness in connection with the Program, or the promotion thereof in all media now known or hereafter devised.
How do I apply for Bachelor in Paradise Canada Season 2?
If, after reading all of this, you think that this sounds like something you want to do, here’s the link for the Bachelor in Paradise Canada Season Two Application.
There is no closing date on the application. We assume some time before May 2022. We’d ask, but considering how they completely ignored our petition, we’re pretty sure we wouldn’t get an answer.
When Is Bachelor in Paradise Season Two Premier?
The filming schedule looks similar to Bachelor in Paradise Canada season 1. Based on this, we’d expect it to premier in October 2022. Although, hopefully, next time it won’t coincide with so many holidays.
#GreyCup2021 is the same day as the Bachelor in Paradise Canada finale and I am once again asking who set up this franchise for failure and why?
So far, #bachelorinparadiseca has aired on:
